it was fantastic, to say the least. a bit chilly in the morning and a little difficult to walk on the gravel in the parking lot, but besides that it was so nice to feel the grass between my toes and walk barefoot all around campus (: thank goodness i had at least one friend do it with me, miss micaela jean:
the only time i am guilty of wearing anything on my feet at all during that day was for exactly seven minutes when i had to perform my final scene for my tma 123 acting class!
j is for jojoba.. in case you're wondering.. it'll make sense if you watch our scene (: i'll put it up here as soon as it uploads on youtube!
mercedes (lady on my left) was a stellar scene partner.. i couldn't have asked for anyone better to work with all semester! we were sisters in the scene... yet somehow i was cast as the older sister? i guess there's a first time for everything!
later on i had the treat of going to zupa's with some of my favorite ladies before we all went to a documentary screening at byu.. all that was missing was our famous anna carrera!
i got my all-time fave meal at my all-time fave place (that's zupa's, in case you hadn't noticed..)
just slightly excited to eat my nuts about berries salad + tomato basil soup.. om nom.
baby d had a party as well eating all kinds of our yummy food..
we also had a blast taking some bff shots on the way to campus..
and look! my feet were hardly dirty by the end of my barefooted day!
this weekend has been spectacular, to say the least (:
friday night i got to babysit baby D & then saturday + sunday were just conference all day, all the time!
we had tickets to the saturday morning session (thank you again for those, daddy!) but micae got really sick the night before [editor's note: yes she is feeling better! thanks for asking (: ] so we ended up just watching conference at home. in between sessions i got a chance to work on all my missionary letter-writing.. i think i've used up a record number of notebook sheets of paper this time around.. i had quite a bit of catching up to do (whoops!). but hopefully justin, elliot, michael + madison will be happy to get the letters nonetheless and that's what counts, right? (:
today [sunday] i got the chance to go to conference with jeffrey + his sister, sarah [yes we are already great friends just because we have the same awesome name and spell it the same awesome way, thanks].
we had a stellar time watching the morning session in the conference center [including witnessing president eyring's funny slip-up, so good] and were even blessed for going to conference by PRACTICALLY MEETING david archuleta! i know, awesome. we practically made eye contact and fell in love while we were within arm's reach of one another.. the wedding plans are in the making, trust me.
after the morning session we walked back to the car and enjoyed a little picnic in the brief bit of sunshine that salt lake city offered us from about 12:45-1pm.. then we hiked back on over to temple square and got settled in the legacy theatre [where the joseph smith movie is usually showing] to watch the afternoon session in ultra-comfy seats. after another stellar session, we walked around temple square a little bit and jeffrey the professional photographer snapped a few of me in front of the pretty salt lake temple! per my request, of course (:
ps most awesome part of the day = seeing this little gem driving in front of us on the way home:
and then we pull in front of them and see this on the front of the car:
yes, CARLASHES. they are real. this isn't a picture of the exact car that was in front of us, mostly because we were all too shocked at seeing them and wondering what the heck they were that i didn't have time to get my camera back out and keep my jaw from dropping at the same time. so creepy!!
we got back and i had a brief cereal party with jeffrey + jared at their place, then headed back home to skype with my lovely ohio family! we only got to talk for a bit, but thank goodness daniel was at least happy to see me:
gosh i love him so much. only a month + two days until i am reunited with him eeeeeeeeee! love my brother (:
wrapped up the night by watching a spanish movie called machuca. it was about the chilean revolution in 1973 and a torn friendship of kids and just... super crazy deep. but i loved it. and so did dan + jared who came to watch it with me (:
lovelovelove spanish movies. is it weird that i can understand most of what is being said [so long as they don't talk too fast] without the subtitles? makes me happy at least ((((: lovelovelove spanish. period.
okieeeee well i can officially register for fall classes [!!] in about seventeen minutes from now at midnight, but i'm much too tired and not worried about my classes filling up so i think i'm just going to bed (:
i know it's almost a month late (whoops!) but better late than never, right? (:
here is the reader's digest version (mostly illustrated with a million pictures, so brace yourselves!) of the wonderful weekend (3/11- 3/13) we enjoyed all together to celebrate the 50th birthday of our loving daddy, husband, son, grandpa, uncle, brother-in-law, etc. of stephen arthur kron!
first we traveled by plane (ruth, drew + i) alllll the way from salt lake city, utah to dayton, ohio with this little bug, enjoying rocking out to music and meeting new bunny friends along the way:
then once we arrived and sufficiently surprised daddy + dandanoo with special help from mama, we slept the night through and just hung out together on friday.. and i snuck away for a quick hour to say hello to/surprise a few of my best friends (:
(note: i did see colin as well, but my camera died before we got a chance to get a picture! sad day.)
then we proceeded to have a yummy family dinner at max & erma's (because we all know it would've ended up being there or bob evan's no matter how long we debated it..):
we also enjoyed spending a lot of time with baby d.. if you can't tell.. from baths to arm-sucking and everything in between:
we slept some more and woke up on saturday morning (birthday!) and went right to work celebrating for the big extended family party that would happen that night. daniel, of course (with his many goofy faces) was the life of the party (or at least that's what the pictures say..):
of course, no kron family weekend (or any kind of gathering) is complete without a slew of sibling pictures...
with a side of carerra girls pictures...
the stars of the party were, of course, mama rica (for putting together this wonderful surprise weekend!):
aaaaand the man of honor, mr. birthday boy himself! (:
i love my parents sososo much. aren't they the cutest?
besides, they are not only the best parents in the universe but theeee best grandparents, too! not to mention the best looking grandparents, out there (;
i love my family so incredibly much. thank goodness i get to be stuck with them for eternity (;
what a stellar weekend! i hope you had a fantastic + happy birthday daddy! from all of us (:
